From the moment you walk up, you can feel the intention behind this place. The coffee is amazing, smooth, bold, and made with real care… but what truly sets Expresso Self apart is the heart behind it.
Stephanie, the owner, is a rare kind of human. Warm, genuine, and effortlessly kind, she’s created more than a coffee shop… she’s built a little oasis of good energy. You don’t just get coffee here, you get welcomed. Seen. Uplifted.
Every cup feels crafted with pride, every interaction feels real, and the vibe is exactly what Palm Springs should be: bright, soulful, and full of love. This is the kind of place that turns first-time visitors into regulars and regulars into family.
If you’re anywhere near Palm Springs and don’t stop at Expresso Self, you’re genuinely missing out. Supporting this business feels good… because it is good. Thank you, Stephanie, for pouring so much heart into what you do. It shows in every way. ☕️✨

Such great vibes, the sweetest of people, and delicious coffee/pastries. Ended up stopping by every day of our trip and each time it was great, can’t wait to be back!
Also, they have muffins from La Abuelita bakery and wow was the blueberry one phenomenal

Go check out Espresso Self coffee shop in Desert Hot Springs, Ca. It was my 1st time trying this coffee shop and I got the lavender matcha with oat milk and lavender form. I enjoyed how lightly sweet it is and the organic lavender flavor! It was just the pick me up I was looking for. The young lady that made my drink said that the lavender syrup is made in house 🙌🏾 and she suggested that I try strawberry matcha next! Looking forward to going back.

Stopped here before my drive to LA after the Coachella weekend and got the Mojo Matcha, absolutely a 10 out of 10. The staff are so nice and welcoming and the vibes are definitely cozy and prices are so affordable compared to any other coffee shop I have visited while on vacation for Coachella. I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in town!

We stumbled upon this adorable mom-and-pop coffee spot and immediately knew we made the right decision when we saw the parking lot already half full. That’s basically the universal sign for “good things (and strong coffee) happen here.”
Of course, we rolled in deep—13 people deep—and instantly took over the waiting area like a caffeine-hungry flash mob. I half expected them to panic or pretend they were suddenly “out of coffee,” but nope. The cashier/barista handled it like an absolute pro—friendly, efficient, and somehow still smiling while staring down our chaotic group order.
Despite us being that group, the drinks came out impressively fast. No mix-ups, no drama, just a steady flow of beautifully made coffee keeping the peace.
I ordered the Spanish latte, and let me tell you—it was so good I briefly considered ordering a second before I even finished the first. Smooth, slightly sweet, and dangerously easy to drink. Honestly, if I had less self-control (and fewer social norms to follow), I would’ve ordered three and just set up camp.
The pastries also deserve a shoutout—fresh, tempting, and basically daring you to ruin your “I’ll just have coffee” plan.
Overall, this place nails that cozy, neighborhood vibe where everything feels a little more personal and a lot more delicious. Great coffee, great service, and a staff that can handle a small army walking through the door.
Will absolutely be back… maybe with a slightly smaller group. Maybe

We got the Mojo Matcha. Divine. Compared to the small coffee shops in Palm Springs, the drinks here feel more complex and taste a lot more elevated. Will be back ❤️

Staff was extremely friendly, lots of coffee selections to choose from, seemed they had a regular menu plus a seasonal menu. They also had some baked goods to choose from as well as some other snacks. Definitely check this place out if you’re in the area or passing through, you won’t be disappointed!

Saw the review that this is cheaper, better, and faster and we totally agree! Nice ambience and staff.
I ordered their peanut butter moch and I loved it! My husband and I also tried their energy balls and it tastes like when reese’s and cookie dough had a baby.
Love the variety of snacks and pastries. They even have a honeycomb!

I’ve been to Espresso Self Coffee a couple times now when I’m working in the area, and it’s officially my go-to spot. The coffee is consistently great—rich, smooth, and made right every time. You can tell they take pride in what they do.
The atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is just as good as the drinks. It’s one of those places you actually look forward to stopping by. If you’re anywhere nearby, it’s definitely worth the visit. I’ll be back every time I’m in the area.

Absolutely incredible coffee shop in Desert Hot Springs. We were able to meet the owner while we’re in the shop and talk about how the shop has grown and evolved. What a beautiful human and beautiful shop! Definitely stop in and grab a cup! We were there at 1p on a Thursday and there was a nice flow of customers, definitely a recognized and familiar local stop!
